Senior Generation Accountant

Join us in this role where you’ll play an active role in providing financial insight to our Operations functions in offshore wind. The Business Accounting & Operations team’s work is varied and includes both monthly reporting and annual forecasting as well as working closely with JV partners and internal stakeholders.

You’ll be part of Business Accounting & Operations KUL where you, together with your colleagues, will be part of a global Finance team working with the Operations team responsible for overseeing the financial data of our generation assets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of costs, prepare and update of budgets, prepare financial reports, manage Joint Venture costs and reporting, and involved in cash fundings and cash forecasts processes.

As a team, we collaborate very closely with our colleagues in Operations and Asset Management, share knowledge, learnings and support each other to succeed together.

 

You’ll play an important role in:

  • prepare internal & external (Joint Venture) budgets for Generation business, working closely with commercial managers, finance business partners and other stakeholders
  • performing month-end and year-end tasks like ensuring accurate entries for accruals, intercompany charges, reconciliations, and reporting updates per agreements
  • preparing monthly internal business reports with updated commentaries, as well as join venture reporting in compliance with contractual obligations
  • serving as primary finance contact for non-operated assets, managing and validating Join Venture data in line with contractual agreements
  • preparing cash call invoices, calculate funding requirements, and support cash flow forecasting while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
  • maintaining comprehensive project financial records and documentation for audit readiness, and respond to internal stakeholder requests and ad-hoc queries within the assigned area of responsibility.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent (CPA, ACCA or CIMA qualified), with at least 5 years of experience in cost control, budgeting or forecasting, and financial reporting
  • are proficient in Microsoft Office software, SAP and demonstrate strong knowledge of financial reporting
  • have excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • have strong problem-solving skills with proactive approach to financial issues
  • thrive to collaborate effectively across a fast-paced, multicultural, and international environment
