Project Procurement Manager

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for managing supplier contracts in the execution phase of our Poland projects. You’ll be overseeing a team of contract managers and managing specific contracts, ensuring the right handling claims, including the negotiation part, preparing variation orders and handling the day-to-day contact with the suppliers together with your stakeholders, which would typically be project managers and scope leads. You’ll also be handling the commercial part of the contracts, defining the commercial strategy, and managing the different obligations. Welcome to Baltica 2 Procurement
You’ll be part of the Baltica 2 Programme Procurement team, where you, together with your colleagues, will support the execution of our projects. You’ll also be supported by the contract management community where lessons learned are communicated. Your colleagues will be in Denmark, the US, UK, and Poland and we all have a common goal of delivering the Northeast Programme projects, managing the risks and maximising the value that contract management can provide. As a team, we like to have fun, support and help each other out, and put a lot of pride in high-quality work.
You’ll play an important role in:
- delivering maximum value through procurement activities and claims management
- developing the Contract Management team
- establishing contract management plans and strategies (risk and benefit) for critical contracts
- establishing negotiation plans for claims settlements
- ensuring that lessons learned are passed on
- establishing demand planning routines and being proactive on expiring contracts
- eliminating inefficiencies in the process finding potential improvements and simplifications.
To succeed in the role, you:
- extensive experience working in sourcing or contract management
- have significant experience in contract management or procurement roles on large-scale construction projects, preferably in the energy industry
- demonstrate the capacity to solve problems and keep complex projects on track
- have proven negotiation skills, enabling you to communicate professionally with key business partners while maintaining contractual and business objectives
- take a proactive and systematic approach to your work and are able to balance competing priorities in a large matrix organisation.
