Manager for Data Specialist Team

Join us in this role where you’ll build a team of data specialists working on our asset projects. Together with your team, you’ll oversee finding, loading, and quality assessing a wide variety of data related to wind, waves, structural measurements, geophysical and geotechnical data sets, weather forecasts, and many more. You’ll work closely with many stakeholders who critically need this data to carry out their work. You’ll also work in close collaboration with IT for finding the right technologies to support our growth.

Welcome to Wind Farm

You’ll be part of our Data & Digital Products department where you, together with your colleagues will help your growing team, which is expected to expand to 10 people by the end of 2023. Most of the employees are in KL but depending on the asset projects, some will also be located in the EU and the US.  As a manager of a growing team, you’ll primarily help on different projects, until the staffing status can free up your schedule to work on more strategic topics. This learning curve will also enable you to gain familiarity with the project organisation and the challenges it faces, in term of data management.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • assessing our pain points and finding some actionable improvements for our cloud solutions
  • building our team in KL
  • ensuring that all our asset projects are staffed at the right level and get the right support from data management
  • working with your senior employees on a strategy for the data management area.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a strong technical and practical experience of data management
  • are a good communicator and thrive in an international environment
  • are team player and possess positive people management skills for developing your team members
  • have a good understanding of cloud solutions and the potential of the technologies.
